Building it ends.
Running it does not.
Drives decay quietly, machines die, and the person who assembled the Ark is not always the person standing in front of it. Everything on this page is written for that day rather than for the build.
The operator is not the builder.
A backup only its builder can run is not a backup. The builder can always operate it, so nothing ever visibly fails until the day it matters. The role is defined so that any deployment can name someone and train them: an adult who can follow step by step instructions on Windows or Ubuntu, in either language. What the operator is responsible for is written down, and so is what they are not.
Every command literal.
Eleven chapters written to the floor rather than to the author: every command typed out, every expected output shown, no step that needs improvisation, and every failure routed to a page that names the symptom. It says which procedure prints nothing for an hour and has not hung, and which half of the system a bare machine will not get back.
- 01There is no support line. No company stands behind this, and pretending otherwise would be the least useful thing this page could do. What exists instead is documentation written to be usable by someone who has nobody to ask.
- 02Print the manual. It is published as a page and as a PDF sized to print and keep beside the cold copy. A recovery procedure that lives only on the machine you are recovering is not a recovery procedure.
- 03English and Spanish, both first class. Neither edition is an afterthought translated from the other. Both are authored and shipped together, and the Spanish one leaves the on-screen text in English because that is what you will actually be looking at.
- 04A step you could not finish is a defect in the manual, not a mistake by the reader. Write down what you were doing, the exact command, and the last three lines on screen. That note is what gets a page added.
- 05Paid help is a different thing, and it gates nothing here. Deployment support is consulting hours sold in blocks; every document on this page is free and stays free. See the two paths →
